This community-driven data is essential to improving drainage systems and building a more flood-resilient Upper 9th Ward.
Bunny Friend Neighborhood Association partnered with City of New Orleans and Marais Engineering to engage Upper 9th Ward residents in a vital community initiative focused on flood awareness and drainage solutions. During the event, neighbors were invited to share information about whether or not their block experiences flooding during rain events. This valuable, firsthand data will help identify problem areas, strengthen advocacy for improved infrastructure, and guide future projects that make our neighborhood more resilient.
